Sir Ray Consult
A platform for Sir Ray Business & Educational Consultancy. Students buy WASSCE and BECE result checker cards with mobile money and get their serial number and PIN instantly, check cut-off points for Ghanaian universities, and find the programmes they can apply for.
The problem
Sir Ray helps students with university applications and sells WASSCE and BECE result checker cards. Parents and students phoned him all day with the same questions about cut-off points. When a customer misplaced the serial number and PIN of a card, he had no record of it, so he could not give it back.
What we built
He asked us for help, and we built him a platform. Cards are bought with mobile money and the serial number and PIN appear on screen straight away, with a copy sent to the buyer's phone, so nothing is lost and every sale is on record.
The same site answers the questions that used to come by phone. Students can browse the cut-off points of every university, calculate their aggregate, and use Course Match to see every programme they can apply for at a school. Each school also has its own FAQs, and a WhatsApp button reaches Sir Ray directly for form buying and application help.
