CSS KNUST Mentorship
The mentorship platform of the Computer Science Society at KNUST. Experienced students in Level 200 to 400 apply to mentor, the Mentorship Committee reviews every application, and mentors are paired with students who need exactly what they bring.

What we built
A website where the Computer Science Society runs its mentorship programme. Mentors choose one of two tracks. A skill mentor helps students build practical tech skills in a domain such as frontend, backend, AI and ML, DevOps, UI/UX or data analysis, and an academic mentor helps with coursework and settling into university life.
Applying takes about five minutes. Candidates verify their email with a 6-digit code, which keeps bots and spam out, then give their details, student ID, level, track and reasons for mentoring. The Mentorship Committee reads every application and matches mentors with mentees. Mentee applications open once the mentors are on board, so every mentee gets the right match.
